Newborn
Babies grow up before we know it, and that's why I love what I do. I'm given the opportunity to capture those magical early days for you to look back and treasure.

At Rachel Alexander Photography we want your newborn session to be completely centred around you and your little one. This will provide you with beautiful, natural and timeless photographs.
All newborn photoshoots are completely baby led, so no two sessions are the same. Some babies will sleep through it, while others are just too curious and want to find out what's going on.

The studio has been designed with all the comforts of home. You'll be able to choose from our extensive range of backdrops and accessories.
The photoshoot
You’ll receive a session guide beforehand with details on how it will run and what to bring to make your little one as comfortable as possible.

The session will take place at our cosy Edinburgh studio and usually lasts around 3 hours. This allows plenty time for baby to rest and feed, as its thirsty work!

Can other siblings be photographed with baby? They sure can! There is nothing cuter than your older children cooing over their new baby brother or sister. If you are bringing older children it can be a good idea to ask your partner or other family member who may be coming along with you to take them for a wee wander while we concentrate on baby.
